Frequently asked questions

What does the Email Verifier do?
It checks a single email address in real time and tells you whether it's safe to send to. Every check is categorized as Deliverable, Risky, Undeliverable or Unknown, with a full attribute breakdown: score, SMTP provider, MX record, role/disposable/free/accept-all flags, and more.
How accurate is it?
VerifyMaill backs every result with a 99% deliverability guarantee: no more than 1% of addresses marked Deliverable will hard-bounce on send. Our multi-stage pipeline (syntax → domain → MX → SMTP → reputation) catches what single-pass checkers miss.
Will the recipient see anything?
No. Verification is fully non-invasive: we negotiate with the receiving server up to the point where it confirms whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect. No message is ever delivered.
Is it free?
You can try it instantly on this page, and after a free signup you get 250 credits every month, no card required. Beyond that, additional credits start at $4 per 1,000 verifications.
How fresh are the results?
Always live. We cap caching at 5 minutes so two checks an hour apart will both re-run the full SMTP negotiation. No stale answers, no quietly invalidated state.
What if I need to check a whole list?
Use the Bulk Email Verifier. Upload a CSV, paste a column from a spreadsheet, or pull straight from your ESP. Same per-address accuracy, just at scale.
What's the difference between Risky and Undeliverable?
Undeliverable means the address will hard-bounce: invalid syntax, dead domain, or the mailbox doesn't exist. Risky means the address technically resolves but has reputation signals you should think about before sending: accept-all domains, role mailboxes, or known-low-quality senders.
Is my data secure?
Yes. VerifyMaill is GDPR compliant and follows industry best practices. All checks travel over TLS, results are encrypted at rest with AES-256, and we keep them no longer than necessary.
